Phase I – Healing
The healing phase comes first because we need to prepare your body to respond optimally when we retrain and rebuild your muscles and joints in subsequent stages. To do this we must begin by removing adhesions in the body that restrict blood flow; limit joint range of motion; and are the primary cause of most soft-tissue pain and discomfort.
We start with 4 weeks of deep tissue fascial therapy (1 session per week) – this is fundamental to breaking the cycle of pain in your muscles and joints. In the final week we’ll do a separate foam roller therapy session to prepare for the next phase of your journey back to optimal health.
In addition to the 5 total therapy sessions, I will be sharing loads of important information about nutrition, hydration, sleep and several other components that impact your health and how our work together works synergistically with these other factors. You will also have unlimited email access to me if you need or want to reach me for any reason.
Phase II – Rebuild and Restore
Now that we’ve reversed the negative cycle of pain in your body and prepped it for optimal muscle and tissue growth, we will shift our activity to rebuild and restore your posture and core function. I design a custom training regimen for each client based on several factors including your body type, strength, muscle readiness, and most importantly – your goals.
There are 3 levels to choose from in this phase based on your desired fitness & overall health goals. This phase also includes 1 massage therapy session/month (regardless of level), as well as continued health education and unlimited email access to me.
Phase III – Thrive
After an intense month or two of rebuilding and restoring your body, you’ll graduate into the Thrive phase. This is where you have begun to master exercises and can sustain a health and fitness regimen on your own with minimal support needed.
Typically I recommend scaling back our work to “Light” – 1 personal training session/week and 1 massage therapy session/month (or more often if desired).
I like to see my clients truly become self-motivated and hold themselves accountable to regular fitness because you are inspired to do so. We can work together for as long as you’d like (I have some clients that I’ve been working with steadily for years), but if I’ve done my job right you’re feeling great, have loads of energy, your body is restored, your pain is minimized and you have the knowledge to continue on your own.
